What you'll do

  • Supervise staff, and supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers.
  • Assign sales workers to duties.
  • Hire and train, or arrange for the training of, staff.
  • Establish work schedules.
  • Sell merchandise.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages.
  • Organize and maintain inventory.
  • Manage cash.

What you'll need

Education

College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years — or equivalent experience.

Experience

7 months to less than 1 year.

Languages

English.

Supervision

1 to 2 people.
